Alanis Morissette confirms London and Birmingham gigs

Canadian singer Alanis Morissette has confirmed that she is adding a pair of UK dates to her upcoming European tour.

The Ironic singer will perform in the Birmingham Academy on June 18th and in London, at the Brixton Academy, on the following day.

The last time Alanis performed in the UK was back in 2005. The new tour is in support of the singer's seventh studio album, Flavors of Entanglement, which is due to be released on June 2nd.

In addition to the London and Birmingham gigs, Alanis is due to play the V Festival in August.

Alanis Morissette found international success with the release of Jagged Little Pill in 1995. The album is one of only three to have ever remained in the US Billboard 200 albums chart top ten for more than a year.

In 2003, Jagged Little Pill was named as the 327th greatest album of all time by Rolling Stone.
