| Review of Aston Hotel Overall rating:  Absolutley shocking! On arrival didnt get greeted the eventually was seen to and told there was no rooms left for us and they couldnt find our booking . Eventually we got a room only to find out the water and shower doesnt work! We then got moved to a staff room! As we were told other rooms were fully booked but yet ee hadnt seen anyone else in the hotel. The service we recieved was well theres one word for it s**t. And wakjibg roubd the hotel tgere was wholes in windows etc. Breakfast in the morning was disgusting! We refused to pay for breakfast . DONT EVER STAY HERE !! | |||||||||||||||

Legacy Preston International

| Review of Legacy Preston International Overall rating: Double room rate for a Saturday night, booking through Skiddle / LateRooms was £63.00 and we considered that to be great value for money. Our 3rd floor room was clean, contemporary, and well appointed. The bed and pillows are firm which was lovely for me, but my other half found a little too firm for his optimum comfort. Oh, and the double beds are huge - more like king size - so there's plenty of room to spread out and get comfy. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, even as late-comers to the feast, and very nice indeed. The hotel's location is very convenient for the centre of town if you don't mind a short walk, or else a cheap taxi ride depending on your destination. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a mid-budget place to stay in Preston. | |||||||||||||||

The Merchant City Inn

| Review of The Merchant City Inn Overall rating:  Staff were friendly and efficient. I had a single room which was Ok for the excellent price, but you get what you pay for. A good choice to just get the head down for the night after a Celtic Festival show (Four Men and a dog) which was first class. Breakfast was included and overall it was good value. Good location in the centre of town also counts. | |||||||||||||||

Custom House Hotel - Excel London

| Review of Custom House Hotel - Excel London Overall rating:  I would recommend if you are young and want very basic accommadation at a reasonable price. Beds very uncomfortable and room tiny and cold. Only alcohol available after 10pm no coffee or tea or snacks except in room. | |||||||||||||||

Thistle Birmingham City

| Review of Thistle Birmingham City Overall rating: hard to find and seemed inconvenient - no shops nearby that I could find, just to nip out and get bottle water etc. Had to pay £10per person for a breakfast voucher on arrival. The evening dining was excellent (had nice meal in bar at reasonable price). On arrival I was told the room was paid (I thought it was paid at time of booking). Sadly we were in a taxi to go to an event when my daughter became acutely ill (not food related) - we ended up in the QE Hospital and missed the event we had tickets for. I eventually got back to the hotel late and had to check out, I was distressed as had had a very traumatic evening. When I was in the room quickly packing the reception phoned and said room not paid for, despite telling me on arrival that it was. I asked if I could get the price of the breakfast vouchers refunded - they said not. In the end I just gave them the money for the room and left. I feel that given the distressed state I was in this was somewhat inconsiderate and feel rather aggrieved - however the hotel was nice, clean but if booking for event I would look for something a bit closer to amenities! | |||||||||||||||

Kenwood Hall

| Review of Kenwood Hall Overall rating: Took my nana as a suprise and we both loved it. Beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were more than big enough and bathroom was lovely! Cannot in anyway fault the breakfast, you could basically have anything you wanted! The restaurant seemed pricy tho for what was available so we opted to eat out. Gardens and view from room was lovely and the location was perfect for a day shopping in sheffield whilst still being out of the way of the busy town. Only complaint I have is I found the attitude of the cleaners very rude, but that aside we will definitely be staying there again! | |||||||||||||||

The Brook Hotel

| Review of The Brook Hotel Overall rating: Sixteen of us stayed here over the weekend whilst working at an exhibition at the Royal Norfolk Showground. Overall the hotel was impressive. Easy to find, reasonable room rates and very close to the Showground. The only slight let down was that they weren't serving a breakfast buffet, just plated meals. For 16 hungry blokes this was a real disapointment! | |||||||||||||||

| Review of Macdonald Manchester Overall rating:  A nice hotel - I've stayed both here and at the macdonald townhouse hotel. It's a nice big hotel with clean rooms and the bathrooms make it worth the extra money. Staff are always pleasant however both times I'v stayed there have been issues with them not recognising the name "skiddle" however this time they upgraded us because of this. Some of the carpets etc and the hallways look to be getting a little on the shabby side but I'm being picky. Mostly worth the price and a good location. | |||||||||||||||

Royal Clifton Hotel - A Best Western Hotel

| Review of Royal Clifton Hotel - A Best Western Hotel Overall rating: We stayed one night at this hotel and all the staff from reception to the waiters were brilliant, the food was very good and the new year entertainment was excellent the elvis entertainer was fabulous. Our room was basic but clean , the only down side we had was there was a lot of noise from a nearby club that kept us up all night. This was not the hotels fault it was outside noise and it was new years eve, we were just unfortunate that we had a room at the back. We are going back again to stay this new years eve and have booked a room on the promenade so hopefully no noise. Well done the Royal Clifton | |||||||||||||||

| Review of Radisson BLU Hotel, Edinburgh Overall rating: Just stayed over one night for a Sunday evening concert in nearby Niddry Street so the location could not have been better. | Review of Innocence Rooms Overall rating: A fantastic concept for staying away, whether this is for families as a collective (especially with children) or for business travel when you're just sick and tired of living in hotel rooms.
