Re: Elvis 2007???

yeah theres a good local band here called All Sexy but Ginger who've just played Richmond Live - I'd love to see them play the WM - they'd go down well in the Scooter Tent

Damiedn Dempsey or Declan O'Rourke or Paddy Casey (Dublin singer songwriters), Hayseed Dixie (nointroductino needed), Transition (Bristol band)..Hot House Flowers would be great too

John Otway

As I have mentioned before, I reckon John & Band would go down well next year.
He's touring quite a bit in the next few months, before his world tour, so get to see him if you can, & report back here if you agree with me?

Yeah, too right!! 1990s indie was my era. Bring back the shoegazing scene!! It would be amazing to see a band like Ride reform for a main stage performance. I think Carter USM are still touring, I remember seeing an advert for a gig a few months back in a music mag, don't think they're releasing any material though. And who remembers the wonder that was Northside? Ah, the heady days of "Shall We Take A Trip" still rings fresh in my mind:D

Some other great 1990s indie bands would be Chapterhouse, Lush, Senseless Things and Eat.

A late 1970s post-punk line up would be great too. Wire and Throbbing Gristle would be a blast at Wickerman!!

Carter USM are no more and havent been for over 10 years. The lads have their own seperate projects but have been known to get together for gigs and do a few Carter songs at the end of their sets. I absolutely loved Carter USM and still do! and was wearing the bands Tshirt at Wickerman this year. A get together for 2007 at Wickerman by the lads would be the only reason id return to the festival next year.

Re: 2007? Name yer bands. GO ON!

As much as I love Wire and Throbbing Gristle, can't see them playing.
TG would have people standing with their mouths open, children crying, blues men thinking someone's spiked their drink....

Lush? Ah, Lush. Happy daze.

Allo.
Closed this thread.
Was getting long.
Your suggestions have been moved here-

Please carry on doing so.

Cheers,
