Wickerman FAQs: Read before posting

Hi guys

Just thought this may help out answer some frequently asked questions:

When does the festival start/finish:

The site opens at noon on THURSDAY
Music starts on Friday
Festival closes SUNDAY noon
You need be off the site by SUNDAY afternoon please

Gates close at 23.00, so we urge you to arrive safely and in time unless you want to wait in a holding bay until the gates reopen at 09.00 the next morning.

When does the main arena open/close:

The campsite will be operational on a 24 hour basis, however, the arena will shut down each morning in order to allow for a litter sweep and restocking.

Thursday 23rd July: 18.00 - 02.00

Friday 24th July: 10.00 - 06.00

Saturday 25th July: 10.00 - 12.00 Sunday 26th July

Arena open for 26 hours straight through.

What do I have to do with my RapidScan eticket?

When you purchase a ticket from Skiddle, please follow the link in the email to print your tickets. Each ticket will have a seperate print-off, so for a family of 4 you will have 4 seperate tickets with their own barcode numbers. Please bring photographic proof of ID with you as a means of age proof, as well as helping should there be any queries with your order.

Can I exchange tickets for wristbands on behalf of someone else?

No, each person is required to bring their own ticket to the ticket exchange as staff will be putting the wristbands on at this point. Children must also attend themselves.

What happens if I lose my ticket?

Contact Skiddle and we will cancel and reissue your ticket

Can I take alcohol with me?

Yes, but only for consumption in the campsite. Don't bring any glass as it will be confiscated

How close is the carpark?

The carpark is adjacent to the campsite. However both the campsite and car park are quite large. Therefore if you arrive early you will only have to walk around 50 yards! If you arrive late you may have a longer walk, however this is still minimal compared to most festivals.

We'll update this FAQ as we get more questions!

Go for the quiet camping area - it just means its not quite as noisy at night and nobody gets too upset when your kids are rampaging around at 6;00am. Its a pretty chilled atmosphere down there too and all the kids tend to wander about between the tents making friends

Re: Wickerman FAQs: Read before posting

Apologies if this has been FAQd already: Are there special tickets for quiet camping, or does my Weekend ticket allow me into general OR quiet camping?

Cheers,

Dave.

Re: Wickerman FAQs: Read before posting

You can camp in either area. General is noisier and later sleeping, Quiet is more for families.
