Re: Lost property. I lost my Rockness cap and ended up getting a poor sunburnt head as I am skint Unfortunately the best thing to do if you lose something is to head straight to the police as they keep things in their portacabin. Last year I needed to call in and there were loads of mobile phones but they take incredible care to ensure they are returned only to the true owners. The advice to call the local police is not as daft as it sounds as I suspect that all the stuff is passed over so they can attempt to return it to the owners.

Re: Lost property. Just to say my camera fell out of my pocket when I was lying on the ground about 50 yards from the main stage. I got up and went to the acoustic tent to watch a band and reached for the camera to take a picture and it wasn't there, "devastated" this was about 30 mins after leaving the main stage area, went back but didn't recognise anyone but started asking around and was getting the usual blank looks and "you don't honestly think you'll get that back looks" when a couple piped up calm as you like and said they handed it to the steward at the side of the stage, sure enough he handed it right over when I asked him. 2 things to say about that. 1. There are still a lot of good people out there and I have to say an awful lot of them were at the Wickerman. and 2. I didn't properly thank the guys who handed it in so on behalf of myself and my 2 sons who were with me a HUGE thankyou as It would have spoiled an otherwise fantastic weekend. Cheers

Re: Lost property. Wickerman is something really special it is unfortunate that you got the blank looks as many folk start helping people look for things. I've seen something similar to an "inverted Mexican wave" as people start looking around their feet and stooping in search of things. I saw it happen twice at the main stage and we even started looking for something unusual as we had no idea what they were looking for! ![]()

Re: Lost property. Contact the police as the theives dumped all the bags and stuff once emptied (usually under fly sheets of other tents) and most folk hand things in when they find things.
