| Re: Best ever? That was my fifth, and the best one yet, the atmosphere just seemed more chilled and laid back than previous years Top band of the weekend for me was The Fall, been a fan for 20 years and only seen them once before and they blew me and my gal away, simply brilliant Best suprise was a band in the Solus Tent called Fangs, they were superb, I'm sure they must have a bright future, I sincerely hope so, great songs, great performance, great look / attitude, made me want to be young again and its not often that happens ! My highlight each year is the Solus new bands tent, just love it, love to see new bands and they always seem to pick a great variety As many people have said the loos were great, in fact all the organisation was great. I'm veggie and had no problem finding enough lovely food to get through, the curry / soup stall was fantastic. Only complaints, HAVING TO PAY AN EXTRA £5 TO FIND OUT WHO IS ON, I've been to a few festivals that do this and I hate it, if you buy a ticket surely you should be told who is on and when, fair enough to have to shell out for a full programme (don't think there was one though). Sormin Norman sadly missed in the bar :-( Would like to see some proper cider next year in the bar, would have gone there more / spent more if there was a decent pint and not alcopop-cider :-( Other than that it was great, and will definately be back next year, don't care who plays as we go just to have a holiday and some time away from the Island we live on, every band is a bonus Thanks Skiddle / Wickerpeople :-) |
