Re: Is there horse parking?

Naw man,im sure i seen people with their dogs there last year.

Im thinkin the laws have been relaxed a bit since then though.

But we will still try to source a local farmer, to take care of our equestrian needs.

Re: Is there horse parking?

I'm pretty sure the only dogs i saw last year was the police and security. Oh yeah and a farmer walking his dog Saturday morning with a big grin on his face laughing at all the casualty's walking to the shops in Kirkcudbright.

This is quote comes from the Wickerman website

"PLEASE DO leave any animals at home. Unfortunately they are not allowed on site, this includes dogs, cats, gerbils, horses & goldfish! Anyone arriving with an animal will be turned away at the gate and should any animals be found on site both they and their owner will be removed from site at the owner's expense. No refunds will be offered in any case."

If you want to take the risk its up to you.

Good on you though for the eco travelling, apart from the emissions that is.

Another thing is you could contact the organisers then they might let you on site in exchange for a few pony rides for the kids.

Re: Is there horse parking?

Theres actually eight of us riding down, but two will be arriving later

due to them riding llamas.

You would think they would have learned that Warmbloods are the only way to go.

Everyone knows that llamas carry ticks and lice and the rules very clearly state these must be left at home to fend for themselves.

Please make sure you leave plenty food for any left behind pets you intend to leave behind.

Re: Is there horse parking?

So is it safe for 2 children to ride there on their own

People riding llamas

Mount Lehman ParadeMount Lehman Parade

People often ask us "Can you ride a llama?"

As you can see in the photos above, the answer is "yes".
These two photos were taken in parades in Mount Lehman
and we have to admit that sometimes it even rains here.

They can easily carry a child, but an adult is a too heavy for them.
An adult llama is strong enough to carry an adult,
but very few people will force their llamas to carry that much weight.

Re: Is there horse parking?

As it turned out, the horses all got hay fever and were pretty pissed off.

Not as pissed off as me though, as i had to hoof it down.

Had a blast though.

Highlights for me was the trippy selfevolving squary box crisscrossy thing up in roof of the psilocybin tent. Im pretty sure i heard bits of Spongle in there.

Whoever ended the show on Sat main stage were simply outstanding.

I wanted that last rollercoasty song with the flute to go on forever.

But alas all good things must come to an end, and so its back to the horse size tissues and antihistamines Cool.
