How are you getting to The Wickerman Festival | |
| How are you getting to The Wickerman Festival Just wondering how everyone makes the journey to the festival? We have two great big vans of stuff so thats about our only option! The shuttle buses are starting to fill up, so if you are travelling by train then make sure you get a transfer from Dumfries railway station, you can buy a ticket from skiddle.com |

| Re: How are you getting to The Wickerman Festival We've been going to Wickerman from the first one and travel each time by a different method. One year we ran the journey three legged, I attached my right leg to my partners left by gaffa tape and we ran the distance from our home on the east coast down to Dundrennen. The first year we dug a tunnel from our garden right into the festival site next to the mechanical cow, this project, of course took many months and many helpers but the money we saved not having to buy tickets made it all worth it. Year three we managed time travel itself, we shut our eyes and were transported into a pub in Dumfries, catching a lift on the Happy Bus to complete our journey. Last year we hitched down, catching many lifts, a bus, a car, a gypsie caravan and made the last 50 miles on roller skates. This year Im thinking of taking the car and driving down for a wee change.......... |
