Down & Dirty Prices

Down & Dirty Prices

Hello All, I have found out the Down & Dirty prices. For posh loos for the weekend pass these are £5, so a posh poo will cost you a blue.

Showers are £5 each, this is on a pay as you go basis, there will be no limit on the number available. Obivously if there is a big que or the showers stop working then you won't have to pay, a problem which did happen last year.

Hi,

Do you know where on site you will be able to get them and when they will be available?

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

I think £5 for a shower is a wee bit steep! It was only £2.50 at the festivals I attended last year! I'll just take a hat!

Will buy my D&D when I arrive early doors thoughSmile

I have to agree, will be doing exactly the same thing. I will add though look up a site called biotoi. I think thats the name. Saw their product on gadget show and it looked pretty good, folding toilet that uses biodegradable bags and no chemicals. Could be worth a look especially for lady's. And no I don't work for themTongue out.

HI Ziggy - they look fantastic - http://www.biobags.co.uk/

The increase in the showers is to cover the cost, every year they have run at a loss and it is either this way or no facilities at all I am afraid to say. Most people wanted to use just the toilets anyway and resented some of the queing that was happening. This way you are guarenteed exactly what you are paying for, a hot shower.

Fair enough. Thanks for the link, I hate advertising but they did look good.

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

£5 is far too expensive for a shower, paid £2 at most other small festivals.

Will consider the toilets though we should be expecting clean toilets on site anyway

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

Can someone tell me where the toilets are located (are they handy), what time they close for the night and do they get queued up? Cheers

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

Like any festival or major event, a portaloo can get messy. Primarily because they dont flush properly. If you want to poo on porcelain, get a down and dirty pass.

I've never showered at The Wickerman and I get a free pass. Thats cause i understand im at a festival. 5 quid if you dont.

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

Us hard core lot are there for around 18 days and soap is banned in our field (unless its biodegradable) thats why it takes so long to get the cows back out to the fields. Even they have standards and won't even come near a litter picker.

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

Will facilities to have a wet shave be included in the posh loo fiver price? If not, what are the options, apart from growing a beard for 2 days?

Re: Down & Dirty Prices

Yes, a £5 pass gives you access to the sinks so you can wet shave/wash etc
