Shuttle Buses & Things | |
Shuttle Buses & Things BUSES Skiddle.com is offering various transport options to help you get to The Wickerman Festival this year. Public transport is a lot better for the environment, and more often than not, cheaper as well, if you consider the price of fuel at present! NW ENGLAND COACH We have a coach departing from Manchester and calling at Bolton, Preston, Lancaster and Carlisle on Thursday 24th July, departing Manchester approx 6pm. Tickets for this are £25 return (leaving the festival 12noon Sunday) SHUTTLE BUSES A shuttle bus will be operating from Dumfries Railway station on Thursday 24th & Friday 25th July. This is £10 return, and ideal for anyone travelling by train from Glasgow, Edinburgh or stations from Carlisle, Newcastle and the South. There will be 3 buses on each day, again returning at 12noon on the Sunday. To buy tickets, please visit skiddle

Re: Shuttle Buses & Things How much is it for a childs ticket? Lat year the guy on the bus said that it wasn't priced, but used his initiative and was kind enough to half an adults fair for my two.

Re: Shuttle Buses & Things Because a seat on a bus is a seat on a bus, we cant pick people up from Manchester and drop them off at Carlisle, obviously it's much better for us to fill a bus from Preston/Manc but it's driving through Carlisle anyway so we might as well help anyone that needs picked up there. If you want to pay less then visit happy bus, £22 from Carlisle or £40 from Manchester. It's up to you. It's the same with children, a seat on a bus is a seat on a bus, it doesn't matter how big the person is, a bus has limited seats and we have a price to pay for the vehicle. I'm waiting for a final price for the vehicles and will feed back to you about Children, we can potentially do a family ticket here.

Re: Shuttle Buses & Things Are there any buses running from Stranraer to festival and return journey? I've been to many previous festivals and have recommended it to other Norn Irn people. I have use of car (filled with family members) but I know of others who would attend if the travel link in Scotland was improved.
