WHP: Mark Ronson & New Young Pony Club Added

28th Sep 2007

Well, the wait is almost over, and we can already hear our hearts pounding in our chests. Of course its really exciting watching the stage and bars being built, the soundsystem being installed, the flurry of nearly 100 crew
furiously working away to get everything ready for Saturdays launch. As you would expect this week has been getting crazier and crazier in terms of tickets flying out the door. Several events are expected to sell out next
week so we will keep you updated on the website. The 2 secret guests that we mentioned would be announced today are as follows...

Mark Ronson [ DJ Set ] - Added To The Bill.
PLAYS OCT 13th - Ape 2nd Birthday As if this line-up needed anything else...
In rolls the hottest DJ / producer, all round bad-boy in global music at the moment. From producing the likes of Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, to taking dance floors to the edge behind the decks, to famously getting a pair of
smokin finger-guns from Tom Cruise for dropping "You've Lost That Loving Feeling", at his wedding. Ronson is simply the coolest cat... He's in Manchester on that Saturday with his band, performing down at the Academy,
but as soon as he finishes there he'll be heading across town to take to the Warehouse stage on the biggest party of the season.   Be Warned... The Ape Birthday is one of the ones expected to go next week, so if you want a bit
of this you need to get moving!

New Young Pony Club [ Live !!! ] - Added To The Bill.
PLAYS DEC 1st - Eat Your Own Ears Warehouse Party New Young Pony Club are one of the best live bands in the land at the moment, and one of our favourite acts from last years run (They of course performed with Klaxons,
Erol, Annie etc last November...). A really great addition just before we open the doors on the Warehouse 2007. Based on the not unreasonable belief that music should offer more than sullen boys wearing trilby hats, NYPC
singles ³Get Lucky², ³Ice Cream² and ³The Bomb² have already proved irresistible. Simultaneously targeting heads, hearts and feet, these were glorious tunes that left the safe harbour of easy categorisation for the clear blue seas of Œanything goes¹. ...bound to be one of the highlights of the year.
