We've put some really good nights on at WotGodForGot over the last year and although I've always used Skiddle to show our listings I honestly don't think that anyone on here has ever come to any of our gigs. OK so maybe a reason for this is that our live music just isn't to your taste. But I was wondering do the regulars ever use the Whats On guide for LIVE music? I can obviously see that the site is geared up for DJ nights and festivals etc. What gets you to live music nights?

That's an interesting comment to make, and a good question to ask. I don't think the site is geared up towards any kind of music, certainly the what's on guide caters for all types. With the new site we've made it even easier to find a particular style of night out, for example all the forthcoming gigs in Manchester can be found - http://www.skiddle.com/gigs/Manchester/ As you have tickets on sale with everyone else but us then we can't really scope that as a measure of our success. Your event listings seem to have received an average amount of hits. Certainly want we do is raise awareness and exposure to your events, maybe remind people who were already going. Looking at one of your events people have clicked 'im going to', whether they are new people or not I don't know You are certainly using the site to it's full advantage and I thank you for that, without promoters like yourself the site wouldn't have been able to grow in the way that it has. We'll be doing more in the not so distant future to raise awareness and promote particular events too potential new customers. I wouldn't take the message board as a way to measure the skiddle site user demographic, because the majority of people on here are just friends of each other that met between me and Ben, and use the message board to escape work. The other 99.9% of people who visit the site don't come on the message board, don't ask me why.
