I won't be able to make it on the 12th as Andy Votel is playing at The Brickyard.

I'll make it down one of these days Gaz, but I hope the night goes well for you.

Dunno whats wrong with this fooking town,we try and do something for the scene and the people would rather go to moods for that junk they call music,it really is a sad state of affairs, but we will bash on and see if we can turn it around,

ARTY

the worst thing is every1 ya talk to is constantly twining about the state of the nightlife too but still get roped in to gan t shit like fuckin basshunter!!!!

Gaz Foskett

so so true, heard it so many times, tbh the people my age lol who used to be into the scene are either dead or got 7 kids running round, anyone fancy helping with some flyering for next event imm doing the rounds in town 2moz.also we have a group on facebook/myspace if anyone fancys joining.

I think the fact of the matter is that there isn't that many people

in carlisle that are passionate about new house music.

Stick on DJ/act that have already had there day and you'd probs get

a few in but then you'd be defeating the object.

Gaz Foskett

imm sure theres more than we think, its just getting them down and show them what we are all about,i dont think people go away as much as we used to in the 90s dunno, lol this lad came up and asked for venga boys i nearly put the laser in his eyes the little coont.Bring it on N-JOI May10th.

fossilbolli cks

N-joi? I hope that's a joke?
Posted 15th Apr 12:02am   [quote]

Gaz Foskett

lol why,N-JOI we are trying out, however they are not playing old skool they are doing us a special DJ set of new house music, they are the original pioneers of dance music.

ARTY

i hope your right because as any1 who use this often will agree apart from the nights concrete put on there is very little on offer for house heads in carlisle and unfortunatly i think yatesy is right it seems the same people who complain about the scene in carlisle dont care enough to get away from botchergate it is a sad state of affairs!

Posted 15th Apr 09:41am   [quote]

fatboywhead on

Wouldn't go as far as to say N-JOI were the original pioneers of dance music?
Posted 15th Apr 10:55am   [quote]

Gaz Foskett

lol well it was one of those bands that did something for the scene back then.
Posted 15th Apr 11:03am   [quote]

fossilbolli cks

I think if you put n-joi on at statik you'll stand to lose alot of money.

Is it worth the risk when you can put good local dj's on for next to nowt?

Posted 15th Apr 12:41pm   [quote]

Gaz Foskett

N-Joi has been booked for months now and half of money has been payed upfront, lose money we will unless we get support,i think its a big act that has never played in carlisle which is why i booked them,we lose either way as prodution costs are high anyhoo.havnt had much responce from local talent tbh.show what state the clubbing scene is in this city.
