Anybody got 1 from O2?

It already has Enhanced GPRS with the EDGE technology pal. Can work on O2 network but i think the coverage is 40% of uk but rising quick.

So i dont think you would be stupid to wait for gprs as standard gprs is not gonna be fast enough to maintain the full online functionality of the iphone anyway apart from emails and very basic apps. Thats prob why they left it out and rolled out edge.

Plus they should be able to roll out a firmware upgrade to support grps if they wanted to as the receiver is already inside the machine.

It just looks like a phone with a few missing features that everyones going crazy over because its made by apple

I've just got a blackberry curve, which can do pretty much everything the iPhone can (not as good for music but it is a phone!), plus it's got GPRS, EDGE and WiFi built in, so if youve got a wifi connection in your house or work, you can make free phonecalls using your mobile - it automatically switches and works exactly the same way but doesnt cost a penny

you would be stupid getting an iphone at the moment, when there is a new version on the way, which is probably going to be better and cheaper. you would also be daft getting any phone on o2. like ben says its just a portable touch screen, there are lot better options on the market. ever tried sending a message on a touch screen?

ben found his ipod 'mini' the other day, which is 3 times the size of a nano. the markets are moving too fast to get anything brand new, unless you know its a stayer.i reckon there's gonna be a few gens of iphones before i pay any really interest, and even then there's a few more options too choose from
