Creamfields teams up with Liftshare
5th Jun 2008
Festival-goers at this year's Creamfields could be forgiven for mistakenly calling the music event 'Greenfields'.That's because organisers have teamed up with Liftshare.com in a bid to encourage those attending the event to become more aware of the benefits sharing transport.
As a result of the partnership, those attending Creamfields will be encouraged to reduce their impact on the environment by getting a life with a fellow music lover.
Ali Clabburn of Liftshare.com believes it will be a very beneficial part of the festival.
She said: "Festival-goers have long cared about the environment, and love the idea of car-sharing to get there. It saves money, cuts congestion and reduces your CO2 emissions - so it's win-win for everybody.
"It's great to be working with Creamfields to bring their festival-goers a greener way of getting there. It costs nothing to join and just means the fun can start even earlier as they find new friends to share the journey with."
Creamfields will take place over the August bank holiday weekend from August 23rd to August 24th.
