The Wizard Festival information

The two day Wizard Festival takes place at New Deer Showground in the heart of the Aberdeenshire countryside over the weekend of 26th and 27th of August.

It's a family music festival with four stages, fairground rides, carefully selected food and craft stalls and a village shop. It also has a dedicated children's area, family camping, and a full two day programme of activities for the youngsters, it's an excellent option for families.

Scotland is blessed with unpredictable weather. You can quite literally witness four seasons in one day there. Although the sunshine is on order, it is advisable to pack for all weather conditions. You can never be too prepared. So, waterproofs, warm jacket, fleece, wellies, sun block, flip flops, shorts and t-shirt, hat, gloves and sledge are all good.

The Wizard festival has a diverse line up of indie rock acts, covers bands and dance acts playing across 3 stages.

The Stranglers will be headlining the Friday night, they have had 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning five decades so they should play a few songs you will have heard of.

Indie super-group Cast will be headlining the Saturday of Wizard as part of their fifteenth anniversary tour of the renowned album ‘All change’. Taking the headline support slot on Saturday will be Irish rock band, The Saw Doctors. The rest of the line up is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Saturday and weekend tickets are now on sale, both ticket types include camping and parking. Skiddle is an official ticket outlet for Wizard festival.
