Cock Rock Festival information
Held in Cockermouth, Cumbria (well, where did you think the name came from?) Cock Rock is a grass roots, family friendly festival with a capacity of just 5000 that's perfect for festival goers of all ages. Throughout the festival you can enjoy the panoramic views of the beautiful Cumbrian Lake District.
Cock Rock is now in its seventh year and still manages to have kept the same intimate vibe and friendly atmosphere that makes Cock Rock Festival a truly special place to be.
Last year's acts included Kid British, King Blues, Dodgy and Sham 69, and the wheels are in motion to make Cock Rock 2011 just as impressive with the likes of Goldie Lookin, Funeral For A Friend and The Bluetones confirmed to headline.
Despite a few complications caused by the weather Cock Rock 2010 was the best yet with a fantastic line up, a great range of quality food stalls, lots of lovely festival stalls to explore and plenty to do for all ages, which pleased both music and non music lovers alike.
The festival as always appeals to all ages and incorporates a full three days of music, activities, workshops, dancing, camping and fun for every member of the family!
Adult and children weekend tickets are now on sale, along with a money saving family ticket (2 adults and 2 children). Skiddle is an official ticket outlet for Cock Rock Festival.

History of Cock Rock Festival
Cockermouth Rock Festival (Cock Rock) was established in 2004 with the first festival held in 2005. Initially it started as a fundraiser for the Pride of Cumbra Air Ambulance but since has grown to incoporate the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue as well. The idea of the rock festival came about in 2004 when comitee member Adam's friend had a cycling accident whilst riding locally. Help came in form of The Great North Ambulance, something that is often taken for granted.
After this eye openning experience the necessity of this service and their struggle to function with limited funds became clear. Adam then approached the Stamper family of Wellington Farm to ask permission to use their land for a concert.
After the success of the first year Clint Stamper and Adam decided that this was something that could grow and develop into an annuel event, and here 4 years down the line now with a 10 string committee CockRock continues to exceed expectations.
