Travel to/from Camp Bestival

Located in the very heart of Dorset between Bournemouth, Dorchester and Weymouth, Lulworth Castle is easily accessible by rail, coach or car...

BY RAIL:
Lulworth benefits from an excellent rail network linking London Waterloo with Wareham railway station - a 130 minute journey. There are also fast daily services with regular connections with Scotland, the North and the Midlands.

A regular shuttle bus service will operate from Wareham station (NB: not Wool station, as in previous years) direct to the site on Friday 30th July (from 9.08am until 10.49pm)? timetabled to meet incoming trains from London Waterloo. Return bus journeys to Wareham will commence on Sunday 1st August (from 9.43am until 6.43pm) and continue on Monday 2nd August (from 8.50am until 1.50pm).

Shuttle bus fares will be ?4 each way for adults and ?2 each way for children.
We will post up a bus timetable here a little nearer the event.

BY CAR:
WEEKEND CAMPING TICKET HOLDERS:
From the East (via/near Bournemouth) - take the A35 towards Dorchester, turning left onto the A351 towards Wareham and then right onto the A352 signposted to Wool. Now follow the Camp Bestival event directions for Purple Campsite Parking and you will be directed to East (Purple) Parking.

From the West (via/near Dorchester) - From the A35 Dorchester by-pass take the A352 signposted for Wool and Wareham and then follow event directions for Blue Campsite Parking and you will be directed to West (Blue) parking.

NB: All camp sites are accessible from both car parks. Please do not follow your SatNav once you are on the A352 as we will have some road closures in place and please watch your speed as this is a rural location and likely to have heavier traffic than usual.

BOUTIQUE CAMPERS: Please follow the initial directions above but look out for Boutique Parking event signs when you are nearby and enter via the main Castle gates.

CAMPING PLUS: Please follow the initial directions above but look out for Camping Plus event signs when you are nearby.

NON-CAMPERS: Please follow the initial directions above but look out for Day Car Park event signs when you are nearby.

CAR PARKING CHARGE: Car parking will be charged at ?10 for the weekend, payable in cash on arrival. If you are not camping be sure to keep your ticket so you can use it on all 3 days.

CAR SHARING: If you are coming to Camp Bestival by car, please fill it up with people. Even if you only have one space free in your car, please check out our FestivalBudi car sharing page and get yourselves signed up. Likewise, of course, to anyone who is looking for a lift. What\\\\\\\'s more, this service is entirely free to use (you simply share the travel costs).

BY FERRY:
White Motor Boats operate ferries between Weymouth and Lulworth Cove in the summer months. They land passengers on the beach in the Cove, and then it is a 5 minute taxi ride to the Castle. Arrive in style! Call 07749 732428 for more info.

BY AIR:
European and International visitors can benefit from the newly developed Bournemouth and Southampton International Airports.

NB:
The car parks will open at 8am and the campsites at 9am on the Friday. No Thursday camping. Campsites close again at 2pm on the following Monday.
